An assessment refers to the wide variety of methods or tools that educators use to evaluate, measure, and document the academic readiness, learning progression, skill acquisition, and the educational needs of the whole students. In Windham, assessments such as: Universal Screening Benchmarks, Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Testing (PSAT), Scholastic Aptitude Testing (SAT), Devereux Students Strengths Assessment (DESSA), the New Hampshire Student Assessment System (NHSAS), and Advanced Placement (AP) exams assist in this process.
